(Completed) - A large fire has engulfed the "Comodita" mattress factory in Gjakova, causing significant material damage.
The incident occurred this afternoon on "Gjergj Sokoli" street.
The Police Spokesperson for the Gjakova region, Sheremet Elezaj, announced that firefighting and Kosovo Police units immediately arrived at the scene and are working intensively to locate and extinguish the fire.
According to authorities, the flames are of large size and emergency intervention is still underway.
"Around 16:50, we were notified that a factory on "Gjergj Sokoli" Street in Gjakova was engulfed in fire. Police units and firefighters immediately arrived at the scene and are taking all necessary measures to localize and extinguish the fire."
Elezaj announced that so far there have been no reports of injured people.

"Up to this moment, based on the information received, there are no reports of injured people, however, a full verification of the situation and the possible consequences for people will be carried out after the fire is completely extinguished," he added.
Authorities are continuing investigations to clarify the causes of the fire, while citizens have been urged to avoid the area for safety reasons. /Telegraph/
