Laporta gives a new blow to Perez: Barcelona officially leaves the European Super League

The current Spanish champion, Barcelona, has officially announced today (Saturday) its withdrawal from the controversial European Super League project.
As is known, Barcelona, along with Real Madrid and Juventus, was one of the founders of this competition, which never materialized.
The Catalans thus ended their participation in one of the most controversial ideas in modern European football.
"FC Barcelona informs the public that today it has officially informed the European Super League Company and the clubs that were part of that project, of its withdrawal from the European Super League project," the announcement said.

Otherwise, many believe this is a new blow from Barcelona president Joan Laporta towards Real Madrid's Florentino Perez, who have been in a "war position" for several seasons now.
As is well known, Laporta and Perez have been allies for years, united against UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and La Liga president Javier Tebas in the battle for the European Super League.
On the other hand, Real strongly accuses Barcelona of "the biggest scandal in the history of football", and is referring to the Negreira case. /Telegraph/
