Miroslav Lajçak, the EU emissary for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, announced that this week the first meeting of the Joint Commission will be held in Brussels, for the persons missing during the war.

Through a post on Facebook, Lajcaku wrote that during a trip to the United States of America, he held meetings with senior officials of the State Department to discuss the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and geopolitical issues in the Balkans.

“My first mission of the year took me to Washington, where I engaged in detailed discussions with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Jim O'Brien, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Balkans, Sasha Kasanof. Together, we delved into the geopolitical challenges and opportunities facing the region, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and the need to advance the Normalization Dialogue.

Furthermore, I had the opportunity to brief the US Deputy Secretary of State, Richard Verma, ahead of his visit to the region.

Again in Brussels, this week's focus will be on Missing Persons with the first meeting of the Joint Commission", wrote Lajcaku.

He emphasized that after the commitments in the USA, the main focus of this week will be on missing persons with the meeting of the Joint Commission. /Telegraph/
