Laboratory for the production of forged documents discovered in Veternik, Pristina

Kosovo Police has announced that in cooperation with Europol, it has conducted a successful operation to uncover a laboratory for the production of forged documents, in which it has arrested a suspect.

The Kosovo Police announcement states that the Economic Crimes Investigation Sector, following actions taken in coordination with the Kosovo Police law enforcement units, had undertaken a successful operation months ago that resulted in the discovery and seizure of a large quantity of blank documents from various countries and equipment used to produce forged documents.

"In January of this year, Kosovo Police units in Pristina stopped a vehicle with local license plates, driven by the suspect with the initials FK, where a large amount of blank documents was discovered during the search," the announcement states, reports Telegrafi.

It further states that "after further investigations, on the same day, a laboratory equipped with various laser machines, printers and other equipment used for the production of forged documents, as well as blank documents with covers from various countries in Europe and the world, was discovered in a suspicious house in the Veternik neighborhood of Pristina."

"Intensive investigations by the Kosovo Police have continued in coordination with international partners, including Europol."

According to the police, during these actions, today, 23.04.2025, the presence of the other suspect with the initials SH.E., as part of the group, was ensured and interviewed.

"The same was interviewed in the presence of the defense attorney and, by decision of the Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution Office (SPRK), was sent into custody for 48 hours," the announcement states. /Telegraph/
