LVV accuses Bernard Nikaj and Petrit Selimi of PDK of asking not to remove EU measures

The deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Adnan Rrustemi, has accused two senior officials of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), that they requested that the European Union's punitive measures against Kosovo not be removed.
According to Rrustem, this request was made for reasons of the electoral campaign, at the time when the Progress Report for Kosovo was being published.
"Two senior PDK officials, members of the Presidency, have requested that the measures for Kosovo not be removed, because this could serve them in the campaign. This is a scandalous request," said Rrustemi.
He emphasized that although the request does not directly affect EU policy, the concern remains over the fact that two important politicians are willing to request something like this.
The deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Arbëresha Kryeziu-Hyseni, has confirmed that the meeting that included two PDK officials and two representatives of the European Union took place at the beginning of November.
She announced the names of the PDK officials who requested that the EU's punitive measures for Kosovo not be removed.
"I have the names of two PDK officials, as well as the names of two EU representatives. I also know the time and place where the meeting was held, as well as what was discussed," said Kryeziu-Hyseni.
However, she preferred not to mention the names of the EU representatives.
Kryeziu-Hyseni has revealed that the two PDK officials involved in this request are Bernard Nikaj and Petrit Selimi.
"It is true that this happened at the beginning of November in the EU - between two PDK officials who met with two representatives of the EU. I have the names of the two PDK officials the same as the two EU officials, I know the time and place where the meeting was held and what was discussed in the meeting. I have not mentioned the names, but these two officials have reacted themselves. They are Mr. Bernard Nikaj and Petrit Selimi", declared Kryeziu - Hyseni. /Dukagjini/
