LVV MPs demand an international reaction to the burning of the store of the vice president of Zveçan

The burning of the shop of the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Zveçan, Natasha Tomaniq, has evoked many reactions - especially from government officials and deputies of the Vetëvendosje Movement.

In his reaction, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that criminal elements have chosen violence, terror and attack again. He asked QUINT and the European Union to strongly condemn "this criminal, terrorist and heinous act".

E, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, has said that the time has passed when criminal gangs intimidated the Republic of Kosovo with attacks. He added that state institutions condemn this act and "we offer support to citizens from the Serbian community in our common fight against criminal groups".

And one day after this case, MP Armend Muja has called for an international response.

"More than 24 hours have passed since the burning of the shop of the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Zveçan, Natasha Tomaniq. Natasha is a Kosovo Serb. Until now, no one from the international community has reacted or condemned the attack", he wrote on the "X" social network.

The same was done by the deputy Arbëreshë Kryeziu-Hyseni, who said that "Belgrade does not seem to be worried".

"Natasha Tomanic's store was burned down yesterday. She is the deputy mayor of the municipality of Zveçan – a Kosovar Serb with an official position. Belgrade seems not to be worried, therefore neither is the international community", she wrote.

The Kosovo police have confirmed that they are investigating the case of the burning of the bar, which happened in the early hours of March 8, stressing that there are doubts that the arson was intentional.

Meanwhile, Tomanic has stated that he suspects that the motive for the arson is that she helped the Serbs in the north of Kosovo to be employed in the institutions of Kosovo. She said that her activities "do not fit" with the Serbian List. /Telegraph/
