LVV MP: Osmani should go to the Parliament to face Konjufca

On the eve of the expiration of the constitutional deadline for electing a new president of Kosovo, on March 5 at midnight, the Vetëvendosje Movement has officially come out with its candidate for this position - Glauk Konjufca, currently Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The officialization of Konjufca's candidacy has prompted reactions from the Presidency. Vjosa Osmani's office has denied that LVV has offered her support for a second term and the necessary signatures to enter the race.
Meanwhile, LVV MP Arbërie Kryeziu reacted through a Facebook post, stating that if Osmani believes he enjoys more parliamentary support than Konjufca, then the majority is ready to provide him with signatures to run.
"If Vjosa Osmani believes that she enjoys more support than Glauk Konjufca, we are ready to give her the signatures to run and test this support. It is the Assembly that decides and that is where the will is measured," Kryeziu wrote.
Meanwhile, Hollaj harshly criticized LVV for the way it is handling Osmani's candidacy process.
According to her, the tendency to blame the opposition for going to the elections is shameful.
"If you tell someone 'come just for a formality, become Glauk Konjufca's counter-candidate', that is, just for numbers, so that later we can blame the opposition together for going to the elections, is there any shame? You have not offered the President a single vote for re-election, but you have asked her to do a formality and numbers, so that today you can come up with such manipulations. We do not treat state institutions like that," said Hollaj./Telegrafi.
