LDK: Without consensual names and political agreement, we will not participate in the session for the president

The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group, Jehona Lushaku, has stated that this party will not participate in the session to elect the president, as long as there are no consensual names and a preliminary political agreement.
"As long as the names are not consensual and have not been agreed upon with a political agreement, we do not participate," Lushaku said at a press conference.
She also appeared reserved when asked whether LDK would nominate Vjosa Osmani for president, emphasizing that her party does not have the numbers to propose a candidate.
"We would have our candidate with our signatures, if we had more MPs. We cannot nominate other candidates. They have 66 MPs and can nominate two candidates," she underlined, referring to the parliamentary majority.
According to her, in the meetings that LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku held with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, no specific names were discussed for the post of president.
"Specific names have not been discussed, as far as I am informed, and I do not want to give hypothetical situations. We will examine the candidacy and take a position on what our behavior will be within the session, but since we have not officially had names, we cannot speak more specifically," Lushaku declared./Telegrafi.
