The country has been facing electricity cuts in recent days, and in connection with this, today the Democratic League of Kosovo has announced that it will hold a press conference.

A few days ago, Janina Ymeri from the Democratic League of Kosovo spoke on the Përballje Podcast regarding the power cuts.

Ymeri stressed that the recent reductions, which have also affected Pristina, show that the situation is much more serious than is being officially presented.

"When power cuts also affect Pristina, which is usually a privileged area due to its institutions and the UCCK, then one has to ask what is happening to other parts of the country," she said.

She has also raised direct suspicions about commercial benefits from electricity imports, citing specific companies and financial figures.

Ymeri said that the largest importer of electricity in Kosovo is the NOA company.

"Who is benefiting? NOA because it is the largest importer of electricity...," Ymeri declared, writes the Telegraph.

Speaking about the power cuts, Ymeri harshly criticized the lack of institutional response.

"Neither the prime minister nor the acting ministry have had any reaction so far," she stated.

According to her, the institutional silence is particularly worrying at a time when, as she said, about 50 percent of consumption is being covered through electricity imports. /Telegraph/
