LDK officials shared a video alleging that LVV manipulated votes, the prosecution authorizes investigations

The Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Doarsa Kica-Xhelili, on 18 and 19.03.2025, shared two videos on social networks, through which it is implied that people from the Vetëvendosje Movement have filled out postal votes.

"THIS is the real reason behind the reactions (noise) that VV is making about the diaspora votes. The goal is to hide hundreds of videos like this from circulation, and divert the topic somewhere else, because what they are 'suspecting' that we have done is EXACTLY what they themselves are doing!" - wrote Kica-Xhelili, among other things, in the post published on 18.03.2025.

Similar to Kica-Xhelili, the LDK candidate for MP, Visar Azemi, has also shared a video on social networks with the same allusions.

In his post dated 19.03.2025, in addition to the attached video, Azemi says: "New evidence of manipulation is emerging. Videos that they themselves posted to make them feel proud. Now, in order to hide this evidence, they are demanding the annulment of the LDK votes."

The Prosecution, on 20.03.2025, confirmed to KALLXO that it has authorized the Police to collect information.

"Regarding the questions you have asked, the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina informs you that it has issued authorization to the police authorities to collect and compile all information regarding the current event," the Prosecution's response states.

Kica-Xhelili, asked if he had sent these videos to the Prosecutor's Office, said that they are just at the Prosecutor's Office.

"These videos are already at the Prosecutor's Office. They were submitted by various political exponents. They recently came into my hands as they were also published on various social networks. I have no indication that they have been compromised or modified," Kica-Xhelili stated.

Azem also says that he did not submit the videos to the Prosecutor's Office.

"These are videos that we have taken from social networks where they were posted by their people. So as you can see, they are quite proud of the posts they have made and the evidence that they themselves have left as a mark on social networks," he stated.

"I have not sent them to the Prosecutor's Office, because they are public, but I think that the Prosecutor's Office has this information, just as we have received it online, and I believe that they have enough evidence to react and to see what happened in reality," Azemi declared to KALLXO.com.

On this issue, the medium has insisted on receiving a position from the spokesperson for the Vetëvendosje Movement, Arlind Manxhuka, but as of the publication of this article, he has not responded.

The Vetëvendosje movement has requested a re-vote by mail.

Blerim Sallahu and the Organizing Secretary of this party, Alim Rama, on 17.03.2025, submitted a complaint to the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Petitions.

According to them, there are facts of manipulation of the postal vote by the Democratic League of Kosovo, for which they are demanding a re-vote, cancellation of the LDK's postal votes, and the removal from the list of several candidates who, according to them, have manipulated votes.

"These votes had a single address - LDK. The voting took place in a manipulated form, in an organized form, massively and collectively by the same people, with the same chemistry, the same color and the same hands" - declared, among other things, the Deputy Minister of Justice.

However, ECAP has dismissed LVV's complaint as unfounded.

On 19.03.2025, Sallahu announced an appeal to the Supreme Court.

"The ECAP decided to legitimize and legalize the misuse of postal votes, orchestrated by the LDK and its leadership. We hope that the Supreme Court will not fall prey to the irresponsibility, unprofessionalism and political influence that the ECAP has had from political and parapolitical actors," he wrote, among other things, reports Kallxo.
