LDK: LVV's pressures to influence decision-making and manipulate election results must end

The Democratic League of Kosovo has strongly condemned, as they say, any form of pressure exerted on the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP), considering this an unacceptable and dangerous interference in a process that must remain completely independent and impartial.

In a reaction to the media, LDK emphasizes that it expects democratic norms and the will of citizens expressed through free voting to be fully and unconditionally respected.

"Any attempt to distort or nullify this will through political manipulation constitutes a serious violation of the fundamental principles of democracy and the rule of law."

"If the will of the citizens is overthrown through orchestrated pressures, the Democratic League of Kosovo will take all necessary steps, using all democratic and institutional means, to protect the legitimate right of our voters. We will not allow the elections to turn into a farce directed by a government that aims to distort the election result through pressure and manipulation," the reaction states.

For the LDK, the pressures of the Vetëvendosje Movement to influence the decision-making of independent institutions and manipulate election results must end once and for all.

"LDK will continue to uncompromisingly defend the integrity of the electoral process, committed to a Kosovo where elections remain a free and unadulterated expression of civic will."

"The Democratic League of Kosovo is and will remain the guardian of democracy and the rule of law, guaranteeing that no tendency to distort the electoral process will go unchallenged," the reaction states, among other things. /Telegrafi/
