Kurti's visit to Sarajevo today is a problem for Dodik - five years ago he himself invited the president of Kosovo

The President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, reacted strongly to the visit of the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti to Sarajevo at the invitation of the non-governmental organization "Circle 99". But, five years ago, Dodik had no problem as the president of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he had sent an invitation for a visit to the then president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi.

As the Bosnian media writes "Klix.ba", from Wednesday (04.12.2024) there were sensational reactions from Milorad Dodik and his partners, ministers and associates due to Kurt's trip to Sarajevo, where he arrived at the invitation of the Association of Independent Intellectuals "Krug 99 ", where he must also participate in an extended session tomorrow in the municipality.

However, we must remind Dodik, Kosharc and Nesic and others that five years ago, in June 2019, Milorad Dodik, as the president of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent an official invitation to the president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, that to come to the summit of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) that was held that year in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Telegrafi reports.

"I have the pleasure to invite you to a dinner for the heads of delegations organized by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 8", the invitation letter said, among other things.

At the end of the letter, Dodik emphasized the important role of Hashim Thaçi at the international level and emphasized that Thaçi's personal arrival in Sarajevo at the conference will significantly contribute to defining the challenges facing the continent.

After the public learned about the invitation, Dodik's cabinet tried to justify itself by saying that "he was not invited there as the 'president' of Kosovo, but as Prishtina".

"And in that format it is something that was defined and accepted by the countries that did not recognize Kosovo. As were Serbia, Greece, Romania, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was invited as Pristina, as Pristina let him be a footnote, if this is not a problem for him", said Dodik.

Now Dodik says that the arrival of Kurt "will significantly complicate things in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
