Former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, turned 57 today.
PDK Chairman Memli Krasniqi congratulated Thaçi on his birthday, writing that he is being held unjustly in The Hague.
"Happy birthday, President! On his 57th birthday, unjustly imprisoned for the fifth time within the four walls of The Hague, Hashim Thaçi continues to give Kosovo dignity and pride - just as he has done for more than two-thirds of his life," Krasniqi wrote, reports Telegrafi.
He further stated, "Therefore, today we celebrate, with him and for him — the student of the demonstrations, the soldier of freedom, and the historic leader."
"To the symbol of independence and great decisions – that changed our destiny forever. Don't delay any longer, President – we are all waiting for you, with open arms and full hearts," he declared.
Thaçi has been held in detention since 2020. /Telegraph/
