Krasniqi: PDK scored a historic result with 50 thousand more votes

The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has reacted after the announcement of the final election results by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

He expressed his gratitude to the citizens for the trust they have placed in him, describing the party's success as a historic achievement.

“Thank you!” – were Krasniqi's first words, expressing gratitude to the approximately 200 thousand citizens who supported PDK in the February 9 elections. He emphasized that the party has marked a significant increase, with 50 thousand more votes compared to the last elections.

"We competed with the best candidate, vision and list for Kosovo. We presented the most appropriate project for the development of the country. And we grew – with 50 thousand votes more than in the last elections, a historic result for our party."

Krasniqi emphasized that this result is an appreciation for the work of PDK and the commitment of citizens, but also a signal that opportunities for growth are still open.

"Is this our maximum? No! Can we do more? Absolutely!"

The leader of the PDK has announced that the party will continue its path towards great goals, marking expansion after the victory in the local elections.

Among other things, Krasniqi assessed the electoral process as democratic and exemplary, but emphasized the need to guarantee every vote and eliminate any doubts about the electoral process.

“Kosovo is in dire need of clarity, stability and development. It needs a responsible government as soon as possible, because it needs hope and trust. It needs friends, partners and allies – because never, and especially today, does time wait for those who hesitate.”

He emphasized that every political party that has gained support must translate it into concrete actions for the benefit of citizens.

"Kosovo is our unforgivable Homeland! And our Homeland deserves better!"

This statement by Krasniqi comes after the completion of the vote count, defining PDK as one of the main political forces in the country, with considerable support from the citizens. With this result, his party aims for the next steps in the political scene, considering this a key moment in its return to government.
