Around two million citizens of Kosovo headed to the ballot boxes today. With the closing of polling stations at 19:00, the voting process has ended throughout Kosovo.
According to the Central Election Commission, the electoral process was conducted calmly and orderly, without incidents that could compromise electoral integrity.
As of 19:00 PM, according to preliminary data, 819,859 citizens, or 44.56 percent of voters, have voted from 98 percent of polling stations.
The publication of official results by the CEC is now expected in the coming hours and days.

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, has stated that the electoral process in Kosovo was conducted in a calm and orderly manner, without incidents that could compromise the integrity of the elections.
At the press conference after the closing of the polling stations, Radoniqi announced that according to preliminary data from 98 percent of polling stations, the turnout in the election is 44.56%.

According to Democracy in Action (DnV) observers, by 17:00 p.m. voter turnout was 38.9%, almost the same as the February 9 elections.
The highest turnout was recorded in municipalities with a Serb majority (47%), followed by the Pristina region (43%).
Several irregularities were noted during the day, mainly difficulties for voters in finding polling stations, cases of assisted voting, the use of invalid documents and some isolated cases of photographing votes. Power outages were also reported in two polling stations and one case of mismatched codes on ballots.

The member of the leadership of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Blerand Stavileci, through a press conference, called on citizens to come out and exercise their right to vote even in the last half hour remaining.

The voting process in the northern municipalities has so far passed without incident, while illegal entries from Serbia to vote have been prohibited.
Veton Elshani, deputy director of the northern region, told KosovaPress that since the early hours of the morning, when the polling stations in the north of the country opened, we have not initiated any case for investigation until now.
"We have had several cases of various verifications that we have carried out, such as in Zubin Potok, Leposavic, Socanica and other cities, but we do not have any cases to highlight. We are in constant contact with the CEC and the State Prosecutor's Office," he said, while talking about the measures they have taken to prevent illegal entry from Serbia to vote.

In the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo 2025, voter turnout by 18:00 PM reached 38.52%.
Out of a total of 1,999,204 voters registered on the voter list, 770,079 citizens voted.
The polling stations processed so far are 2,526 out of a total of 2,557, which constitutes 98.79% of the total, indicating that the counting process is progressing rapidly.

At least two and a half hours before the closing of polling stations, the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has made an open call for citizens to participate en masse in the elections.

In the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo 2025, voter turnout as of 5:00 p.m. reached 32.35%. Out of a total of 1,999,204 voters registered on the voter list, 646,829 citizens participated.
In total, 2,142 out of 2,557 polling stations were processed, which accounts for 83.77% of the votes processed.
This indicates a significant turnout, however there is still time for citizens to exercise their right until the polls close.

At the voting center at the "Hysni Zajmi" school in Vrellë, Istog, citizen Hasan Demaj exercised his right to vote for the first time today, at the age of 71.

An incident occurred today at the voting center at the "Mustafa Bakija" school in Prizren, where an elderly citizen tore up the ballot during the voting process.
According to the Police, the citizen reacted in revolt after the election commission did not allow him to help his wife during the vote.
The case was confirmed to Telegraf by the Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyqi, who announced that the Police immediately intervened at the scene.

Since the opening of polling stations at 07:00, according to Democracy in Action (DnV) observers, the voting process across the country has been proceeding smoothly.
According to the announcement, as of 12:00, about 13.7% of citizens have exercised their right to vote (margin of error +/- 0,35%). Pristina and Ferizaj have recorded the highest turnout so far, 15%.
It is further stated that in municipalities with a Serb majority in the north of the country, voter turnout was reported to be over 22%, which is almost twice as high as the overall average turnout at the national level.
"In these elections, 1,999,204 citizens have the right to vote, or 28,260 more than in the parliamentary elections of February 9, 2025. We recall that voter turnout in the same period of time in the parliamentary elections of February 9 was 14.5%," the announcement states.
According to DnV observers, it was reported that by 12:00, difficulties in finding the name on the List, and consequently in identifying the appropriate polling station, were reported in 50% of polling stations, but that the number of cases was small, up to 10 such cases.
Meanwhile, by noon, commissioners in 61% of polling stations were enforcing the rule and were requesting documents to allow assisted voting. Furthermore, in 35% of polling stations, even though voters had requested to vote with assistance, they were not allowed to vote due to lack of medical documents.

Democracy in Action (DnV) is monitoring the progress of the electoral process with 500 static observers, who are present in 500 polling stations, determined based on a random representative sample.
DnV emphasizes that their observers will report throughout the day on the progress of the electoral process, starting from the opening of polling stations, the voting process and until the completion of the vote counting for political entities. Attention will be paid to respecting the voting and counting procedures, guaranteeing the secrecy of the vote and equal access to voting for all citizens with the right to vote.
"According to field data, only 3% of polling stations opened late. The most significant delays were in the Peja region. It has been reported that the main reason behind the delays in opening polling stations on time is related to the lack of commissioners," the announcement states.
According to DnV, although election rules prohibit the placement of posters and other propaganda materials of political entities within a 100m perimeter of the Voting Center, our observers have reported the presence of these materials in the vicinity of 3% of the Voting Centers.
