Kosovo in Nations League B, Dardanians' possible opponents are learned

The Kosovo national team has secured a place in League B of the Nations League, with the victory over Iceland, where difficult work and stronger opponents await them.

Kosovo defeated Iceland 2-1 in the first home match, and celebrated in the second with a 1-3 score.

Iceland took the lead in the second minute with a goal from Orri Steinn Oskarsson, but Kosovo turned things around with three goals from Vedat Muriqi.

Kosovo secured a place in League B with a win in the two-legged tie, while Iceland is relegated to a lower tier (League C).

Kosovo started the Nations League in 2018 at the bottom level, Nations League D. They were in a group with Azerbaijan, the Faroe Islands, and Malta.

Kosovo immediately gained entry into League C that year, where we remained until this season.

This season we were in a group with Romania, Cyprus and Lithuania and took second place, after which we reached the Nations League B through the play-offs.

For Kosovo, this is perhaps the greatest achievement in its short football history.

In League B, Kosovo starts in the fourth pot, where Sweden, North Macedonia and Northern Ireland are also located, with whom we will not be able to face.

Now in League B, opponents like Scotland, Hungary, Poland and Israel could come to us from Pot 1.

In the second pot are Switzerland, Austria, Ukraine and Bosnia, which we are forbidden from playing.

As for the third pot, there could be another clash with Romania, but also with Slovenia, Georgia and Ireland.

Pot 1: Scotland, Hungary, Poland, Israel

Pot 2: Switzerland, Bosnia, Austria, Ukraine

Pot 3: Slovenia, Georgia, Ireland, Romania

Pot 4: Sweden, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland and Kosova
