Kosovo imported the most goods from Turkey during 2024

During the year 2024, Kosovo imported goods worth about 6.3 billion euros, while Turkey was ranked first among the countries from which Kosovo made imports.

In a media conference where Customs data for 2024 was disclosed, the director of this institution, Agron Llugaliu, said that Kosovo mostly imported goods from Turkey.

According to him, this year, Kosovo imported about 6.3 billion euros.


Turkey is ranked first as a trading partner of Kosovo, from which country goods were imported worth 909 million euros, followed by Germany and China, in second and third place, respectively.

Llugaliu emphasized that within the framework of the free trade agreement between Kosovo and Turkey that entered into force in 2019, this year goods worth about 54 million euros have been released from obligations.

Showing that they collected approximately 1.8 billion euros in customs taxes in the country's budget this year, Llugaliu also said that they confiscated goods worth 19.3 million euros.

The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, was also present at the media conference, who emphasized that approximately 90 percent of the country's budget consists of revenues from customs and taxes.

Turkey was the country from which Kosovo imported the most during the years 2022 and 2023.
