Promotion to League B of the Nations League, Kosovo gains a lot from UEFA

The Kosovo national team has achieved a historic success, having been promoted from League C to League D of the Nations League.

Seven years ago, the Dardanians started in League D, while now they are in League B where they are among the 32 best national teams in Europe.

Promotion to League B also brings additional income to the Football Federation of Kosovo.

According to the rules of the largest European football body, UEFA, national teams competing in League B receive 1,5 million euros, a figure that is extremely high for the federations of small countries.

These revenues are already guaranteed, but they could be even greater when television rights are also taken into account.

This is a UEFA decision made in 2018.

Meanwhile, the overall winner of the Nations League, which could be one of the national teams such as Germany, France, Spain or Portugal, will win 10,5 million euros. /Telegraph/
