Kosovo defeats Iceland with Vedat Muriqi's hat-trick, we are in the Nations League B

The Kosovo national team scored a 3-1 victory over Iceland in the second play-off match, securing qualification to League B of the Nations League with an overall score of 5-2.

It was the guests who took the lead first, scoring in the second minute through Ori Oskarsson, who made it 1-0.

After conceding the goal, Kosovo slowly began to pick up the pace of the game by controlling the opponent in every corner of the field.

In the ninth minute, Paqarada crossed into the area, Rrahmani headed the ball, but it fell into the goalkeeper's hands.

The 'Dardans' risked again in the 15th minute, this time through Ermal Krasniqi, but he was unlucky as his shot ended just over the goal.

After several consecutive attempts to find the goal, Kosovo found it in the 35th minute.

From a fantastic action that first passed through the feet of Milot Rashica and then to Leart Paqarada, the latter assisted Vedat Muriqi who scored for the score 1-1.

The final seconds of the first half were being played when Milot Rashica made a super assist for Vedat Muriqi who scored again to turn the score around to 2-1 in favor of Kosovo.

In the second half, Muriqi scored his third personal goal and the third for Kosovo in this match in the 79th minute for the score 3-1.

This victory was a historic achievement for Kosovo as for the first time we secured participation in League B of the Nations League, as we remember that years ago we started from League D and here we are now./Telegraph/
