Customs officials today seized a large sum of money during regular checks at the border crossing in Han i Elezit.
A vehicle was sent to the second line for a detailed inspection, after the driver stated that he had nothing to declare.
During the search, customs officers discovered and seized 295,270 euros, hidden inside the vehicle and undeclared according to border regulations.
According to Kosovo Customs, the amount was confiscated based on legal procedures, while the case has been sent for further investigations to clarify the origin and purpose of the money.
The institution emphasized that it remains committed to strengthening border controls and preventing smuggling and other illegal activities, with the aim of guaranteeing security and protecting the country's interests. /Telegraph/
