Kosovo citizens loyal to Albania even for the New Year

The holiday season finds many foreign tourists in Albania to celebrate.
"We have several traditional, loyal markets, the Kosovo market, Bulgarian, Macedonian and recently the Italian one. These are markets that have demands and reservations for Christmas and New Year, but especially for New Year. This is the winter period and cannot be compared to summer. During this period, they come for 3-4 days, up to 5 nights, mainly for New Year. There is Tirana that has already become a year-round destination, Durrës that is chosen for large hotels, there is Vlora, Saranda, Shkodra, but also mountain destinations such as Thethi and Valbona", said Rrahman Kasa, from the Albanian Tourist Union.
"Mostly they are tourists, but also Albanians from the diaspora who come to spend their holidays with their families. The price is almost the same as last year. Those who come from Eastern countries find it somewhat expensive and seek to negotiate. While those from Western countries find it cheap, with 200 euros a person can spend 3 very good days in Tirana," declared Erti Memoxhi, owner of the guesthouse.
The reasons that push foreigners to come to our country for holidays are the prices offered but also the flavors of Albanian cuisine.
"They come for several reasons, for the mild climate, for the taste of Albanian cuisine, which is a favorite, they also come for the prices because if you go to Italy to a good 3-4 star hotel you will pay a price of 300-350 euros just for New Year's Eve, while here such a price goes for the entire accommodation, including New Year's Eve," Kasa added.
On the other side are Albanians who choose to celebrate abroad, traveling mainly to Western European countries, but there is also no shortage of distant Asian and exotic destinations. /vizionplus
