Kosovo begins the chapter of negotiations for trade in services with the EFTA countries

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade has announced that Kosovo has started the chapter of negotiations for trade in services with the EFTA countries, the first in the Western Balkans.

The press release states that after a long process of negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement, for the trade of goods between the Republic of Kosovo and the EFTA member states, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, thanked the delegation of the negotiating parties for the start of the first round of negotiations for trade in services between the Republic of Kosovo and EFTA member states - Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

"The finalization of this agreement as soon as possible is of great importance for Kosovo, since trade exchanges with the EFTA countries, especially with Switzerland and Norway, are constantly growing and have a significant positive trade balance for goods and services.


Through this agreement, Kosovo and the EFTA countries will expand cooperation in areas of particular importance to expand trade relations, such as investment flows, including technology transfer, competition policy and law, public procurement, trade and sustainable development, as well as other trade-related issues and policies, including now also trade in services," the response continued. /Telegraph/
