Then come Costa Rica, Norway, Israel, Luxembourg, etc.

But where do Kosovo and other Balkan countries stand?

Among the Balkan countries, the citizens of Kosovo are the happiest. Kosovo is in 29th place on the list.

While after Kosovo comes Serbia in 31st place, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 56th place, Montenegro in 71st place, North Macedonia in 86th place and Albania in 89th place.

The report says that these "life assessments" focus on people's satisfaction with life.

The executive summary states that the focus of this report was the impact of caring from other people and the 'spread' of happiness.

“There are many ways in which we care for and share with each other. Perhaps the most universal example is sharing meals. As Chapter 3 shows, eating alone is not good for your well-being. People who often eat with others are much happier, and this effect holds even when family size is taken into account.

"The increase in the number of people eating alone is one reason for the decline in well-being in the United States," the report states, among other things.

In July 2012, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution declaring the International Day of Happiness to be celebrated annually on March 20.

The objective of this day is to emphasize that happiness and prosperity are not only personal desires, but also global goals. /Telegraph/
