Austria coach Ralf Rangnick has described the matches against Kosovo as exciting.
Kosovo has been drawn in Group B3 of League B of the Nations League, with Austria, Israel and the Republic of Ireland.
After the draw, Rangnick reacted for the first time, mentioning the fact that Kosovo could also qualify for the World Cup.
"What I see as a positive in this group is that we have not played against any of the three opponents during my time as coach."
"I think the away matches will be manageable. Kosovo still has a chance to qualify for the World Cup, which is a very big achievement. They will be interesting and exciting matches both at home and away," he declared.
The 2026/2027 edition of the Nations League will be linked to qualification for the 2028 European Championship in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.
