Kosovar among finalists for prestigious cybernetics award

Dredhza Braina, a 22-year-old from Pristina, is making incredible strides in the international cybersecurity arena, breaking boundaries while ranking among the most promising talents in the field.

She has been shortlisted for the internationally renowned Cybersecurity Woman of the Year 2025 award, an initiative organized by the United Cybersecurity Alliance.

This inclusion represents a special moment not only for her career, but also for Kosovo's affirmation in a global competition, where quality and expertise are at a high level.

With a deep passion for technology and digital protection, as well as unwavering dedication, Dredhza has managed to become an important figure in an industry that has traditionally been dominated by professionals with many years of experience.

"For me, this is a moment of great significance - a testament to my work and dedication in this field that I see not only as a profession, but as a mission," she said in a message on social media, where she shared her enthusiasm for being selected in this prestigious competition.

In her words, cybersecurity is not just a job – it is a way of life, a calling to contribute to creating a safer digital world.

She has expressed her gratitude to the organizers, including Carmen Marsh and the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year award team, for recognizing and appreciating her contribution to this critical sector.

With this achievement, Dredhza not only reinforces her name as a professional, but also serves as an inspiration for a new generation of Albanian talents – especially for young girls who aim to leave their mark in technology and innovation.

The final results of the award are expected to be announced in the coming months, but for Dredhza, this moment represents only the beginning of an extraordinary journey.

She graduated from the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Pristina and, just last year, presented her work twice in the US, in front of experts in the field.

Currently, at the age of 22, Dredhza works as a Threat Researcher - a cybersecurity expert - at an American company, directly engaged in protecting against global digital threats. /Telegraph/
