Kosovo successfully concludes the free trade agreement with the EFTA countries

Kosovo has successfully completed the negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement with the countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA): Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

"After four rounds of negotiations that began in 2022, this is a big step for the economic development of Kosovo, opening new opportunities for the country's enterprises and industries", announced the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The agreement includes both trade in goods and services, making Kosovo the only country in the region that negotiates trade in services with EFTA countries.

This aspect is particularly important considering Kosovo's potential in providing professional services.

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade has emphasized the strategic importance of the EFTA countries for the economy of Kosovo and the potential that this agreement will bring for a strong and stable partnership.

The negotiations were led by Zef Dedaj from the Kosovar side, while the EFTA delegation was led by Karin Buechel./Telegrafi/
