Lawyer Arianit Koci has announced that he is in Belgrade, where he is acting as legal counsel for Mit'hat Lozhani, arrested by Serbian authorities on suspicion of war crimes, stating that he himself feels in danger.

"I am in Belgrade, for the release of Mit'hat Llozhani. I have information that I am also in danger," Koci wrote on Facebook.

According to him, there is information that Lozhani's condition is not good, while earlier in the day he had raised concerns about inappropriate treatment within the detention center.

Koci has mentioned suspicions of pressure, continuous interrogation and physical treatment that, according to him, require immediate verification.

The lawyer has requested that the claims be urgently investigated through an independent medical examination and official documentation of any possible injuries, and has also called for transparency about the conditions of interrogation.

He also called for concrete measures to guarantee the physical and psychological safety of the arrested person, including separation from other detainees if there is a risk to his safety. /Telegrafi/
