Klekovski: FSSH has discovered a number of irregularities in several health institutions

Numerous irregularities have been detected in several public and private health institutions. Unnecessary sick leave has been granted, some clinic directors have received higher salaries than they should, while gynecological clinics have worked without fiscal vouchers.
"Regarding sick leave, we are imposing penalties on 28 private health institutions, where the penalties will amount to 1.2 million denars and for some it will be the first time, for some we have repeated penalties. In gynecologists, unfortunately we have a new wave of complaints for not providing fiscal vouchers, we have 12 new complaints," declared Sasho Klekovski, director of the Health Fund.
Klekovski told Alsat that they are considering changing the penal policy, as the punishments so far have not had an impact on stopping violations of the rules.
"Penal policy in some areas does not discourage breaking the rules, the penalties are small and it is basically affordable to break the rules. For example, for public health institutions the maximum penalty is 75 thousand denars, so this does not make sense," said Sasho Klkeovski, director of the Health Fund.
Klekovski said that the Fund is working together with the Ministry of Interior on all these detected cases.
