Kica-Xhelili: Some commentators are being hindered by the LDK's stance that we should not enter a coalition with LVV or PDK

The Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Doarsa Kica-Xhelili, has commented on recent developments within the party, stating that her stance against coalitions with the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is encountering opposition.

On Dukagjini TV, she criticized the language used against her by various political figures, including former minister Agim Veliu, saying that the attacks against her began from the moment she joined the LDK from Vjosa Osmani's list in 2022.

"It is regrettable that the language Mr. Veliu is using is the one that has been fed to me since August and September 2022, when I joined the LDK due to my right-wing political beliefs," Kica-Xhelili stated.

She emphasized that she is not beholden to anyone, except the LDK electorate.

"There are some commentators on other television stations who always speak in my name, without knowing me at all, without even knowing what political and professional background I have, because I can see from the way they speak, because they completely lack the information that it seems to me that my stance is preventing us from entering into a coalition with either the Vetëvendosje Movement or the Democratic Party of Kosovo."

"The attacks on me are not happening because of any decision of 2022, but because of my political positions. But I answer only to the LDK electorate. Whoever wants me to bow down to them, let them vote for LDK in the next elections," she said.

Kica-Xhelili has mentioned that the LDK will not change its pre-electoral positions and will not make political calculations for short-term interests.

"We are the Democratic League of Kosovo. We stand by our positions and remain loyal to them. I am sorry that someone within the LDK falls prey to propaganda and even says it publicly," she stated, among other things.
