Kia presents the refreshed Sportage

As announced, Kia has refreshed the Sportage and introduced it (for now) to the Korean market.

The refreshed model does not bring major changes, but you will definitely notice it easily, Telegrafi reports.

The original design of the model has now been enhanced with new lights, executed in accordance with the style presented on electric models from the EV series.

The principle is the same as in the refreshed Sorento. Enriched with new LED optics, the new Sportage differs from the rear only in terms of the light graphics, while the list of visual innovations is rounded off by new standard colors (Wolf Gray and Heritage Blue) and the design of the fenders with a diameter of up to 19 inches.

The Sportage has a new digital cockpit with a 12,3-inch curved screen. The ventilation openings are also new, as well as the redefined ambient lighting. The slightly unconventional new design of the steering wheel can also be easily noticed.

The list of equipment includes a new head-up display with the possibility of monitoring the driver through a camera on the steering wheel. Like its Tucson sibling, this SUV will have a Baby & Toddler mode, in which the acceleration of the car is felt less to make children in the seats more comfortable.

In terms of mechanics, the biggest innovation is the rejection of the seven-speed manual gearbox in favor of an eight-speed automatic. In addition to the 1.6 turbo gasoline engine, hybrid ones are also available.

The Sportage is expected to go on sale early next year, with a slight price increase. /Telegraph/
