Keith Self personally delivers to Kamber the draft law on discrimination against Albanians of the Presevo Valley

Albanian MP in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, announced that today, in Washington, US Congressman Keith Self personally submitted to him the bill HR 6411 - Presheva Valley Discrimination Assessment Act, an act that for the first time officially places the issue of systematic discrimination against Albanians in Serbia on the agenda of the United States Congress.
According to Kamberi, this law does not have a symbolic character, but represents an official instrument of the American state, which aims to assess, document and expose the various forms of discrimination faced by Albanians in the Presheva Valley.
"This act aims to address the administrative passivation, exclusion from public institutions, suppression of the Albanian language, discrimination in education and economic marginalization of Albanians in the Presheva Valley," Kamberi emphasized.
He assessed that, for the first time, this injustice no longer remains on the periphery of international diplomacy, but is directly at the center of United States policy, not as a matter of protocol, but as a moral and institutional obligation.
Kamberi thanked Congressman Keith Self on behalf of the Albanians of the Presheva Valley, emphasizing the importance of this commitment at a time when, according to him, many international actors choose to remain silent due to political interests.
"In a world where many remain silent out of self-interest, Congressman Keith Self chose to speak out of principle," Kamberi concluded.
Bill HR 6411 is expected to serve as the basis for official reporting and institutional assessments on the treatment of Albanians in Serbia, increasing international attention and responsibility towards this issue.
