The Ethno-Kastrioti Museum is enriched with 200-year-old exhibits

The Ethno-Kastrioti Museum in Isniq, Deçan, in addition to thousands of old exhibits collected over the years, has recently been added a "Grain Basket", about 200 years old.
Zeke Sinanaj, the previous owner of this exhibit, says that he was happy to donate the basket to the museum, convinced that it would be better preserved here and its lifespan would be extended.
"The Miftari have recently started, especially seeing the importance of this project, to offer various exhibits from almost all countries. Of course, in our family's yard we also had this basket, which is estimated to be over 200 years old. In order not to be completely destroyed, I decided to bring it here so that future generations can see how our ancestors knew how to preserve corn and other products. Therefore, I think it is very important, like all the other exhibits that are here," said Sinanaj.
The donation of this old exhibit was also welcomed by collector Miftar Januzaj, who said that this addition will further increase the value of the museum.
"After many exhibits that have been brought to us from all over the country and region, there is also this basket, used by the family of Selman Bejte Sinanaj and brought to the Ethno-Kastrioti Museum by his son, Zeke. What is important, for generations to come, these exhibits will show through our heritage who we were," declared collector Miftar Januzaj.
He also has a plea for all citizens not to destroy such artifacts and exhibits, but to bring them to museums, so that the cultural heritage of this locality can be preserved through time./RTK
