Journalist and director of the media outlet "Paparaci", Vehbi Kajtazi, has reacted to the accusations made against him by the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi.
Kelmendi, in an extraordinary conference held today, stated that the articles that have been published in the media in recent days are untrue and slanderous.
He even made serious accusations against journalist Kajtazi.
"I am very sorry that a well-known portal "Paparaci" continues to report untruths. The published news is untrue and tendentious. The data is completely false. I have had such articles before from the same portal by its owner Vehbi Kajtazi. The reason why he writes and slanders me is that he has been with me to gain benefits. After I refused these requests and his attempts to exert influence on my work, he also sent me blackmailing SMS messages, which former Chief Prosecutor Aleksandër Lumezi was also informed about," said Kelmendi.
In response to these statements, journalist Kajtazi, in a reaction on Facebook, invited the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, to choose the television studio for the debate.
Meanwhile, regarding the blackmail accusation, Kajtazi said that, as before, he could arrest him today.
Kajtazi even refers to Kelmendi as "a remnant of the Milosevic regime."
"Regarding the 'blackmail' accusation, Besim Kelmendi is an old lawyer, even from the time of the infamous Serbian judge, Danica Marinkovic, who had sentenced Adem Jashari, Hashim Thaçi, Rexhep Selimi, Jakup Nuren, Sami Lushtaku, Zenun Kadriu, Ali Januzi, Sahit Jashari, Rafet Rama to prison. He was a prosecutor at the time of the claim (allegedly for blackmail) and now the chief prosecutor. Even then, even today he could and can arrest me. I am here. I will be here.
