CEC approves over 48 thousand applications for voting from the diaspora, rejects over 6 thousand

Over 48,600 applications for registration to vote outside Kosovo have been approved, while over 6,400 have been rejected by the Central Election Commission.
The CEC has announced that from November 26 to December 4, more than 55,600 applications were received.
"Of the total number of approved applicants, the majority have registered to vote by mail, around 35,000 of them, to send the ballot package to one of the mailbox addresses outside Kosovo and more than 1,600 others to send the ballot package to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo. Meanwhile, over 12,000 citizens have registered to vote physically at one of the diplomatic missions," the CEC announced.
Otherwise, Kosovo will hold early elections this month because the Vetëvendosje Movement failed in two attempts to gain the support of the Assembly for a new mandate.
It came first in the February 9 elections, but 48 seats in the Assembly were insufficient to govern alone and it did not find a partner to form even a minority government of 61 seats in the Assembly.
