Juventus want Mateta, but reject Crystal Palace swap offer

Multiple sources in Italy claim that Juventus have begun preliminary talks to sign Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, but the Bianconeri have reportedly refused to include Jonathan David in a swap deal.
Juventus have identified French player Mateta as the ideal replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who is expected to leave Turin at the end of his contract in June.
Tuttosport and Journal of Sport report that the Bianconeri have already begun talks with Crystal Palace, as Luciano Spalletti would happily welcome a classic centre-forward in the January transfer window.
According to Journal of Sport, Crystal Palace have proposed to include Canadian player David in a swap deal, but the Bianconeri have not accepted the proposal.

Mateta's contract with Crystal Palace expires in June 2027 and the French striker appears unwilling to extend his stay.
According to Tuttosport, this means that the 28-year-old could leave for around 25-30 million euros, but other Italian media suggest that his price is close to 40 million euros, while British sources put the price at over 50 million euros. /Telegraph/
