Journalist Artan Hoxha declared persona non grata by Greece, reactions from Albania

Journalist Artan Hoxha was prevented from entering Greek soil in the early hours of this morning, after according to information he was declared persona non grata and had to turn back.
After this event, SP MP Ardit Bido reacted, describing this measure as unacceptable and the greatest abuse of European values.
"The detention of Artan Hoxha at the Albanian-Greek border is the second time in a few years that Albanian journalists have been detained at the border due to their reporting and beliefs.
It is unacceptable that in the 21st century, the authorities of a European state continue to be influenced by the last throes of nationalism.
"The search for the rights of the Albanians of Chameria, the confrontation with the political nationalism of the phenomena Golden Dawn, Beleri, etc., as well as the protection of the national rights of Albanians, are not an option, but an obligation of every journalist and every Albanian. Therefore, the attack on them, through the declaration of "non grata" constitutes the greatest abuse of European values," he says.
This is not the first time that Greece has taken such a measure against journalists, as many years ago the Greek state declared Top Channel journalist Marin Mema as persona non grata.
