Joseph: Kosovo's inclusion in the Peace Board is an important signal for relations with the US

Western Balkans expert Edward P. Joseph has commented on developments in relations between Kosovo and the United States.
He particularly focused on the importance of Kosovo's inclusion in the Peace Board and the impact this has on the strategic dialogue between Kosovo and the US.
According to Joseph, Kosovo's participation in this Board constitutes an important development in relations between the two countries.
"I think this is a very important invitation for Kosovo, to be invited to the Peace Board. The fact that President Vjosa Osmani was also at the founding of this organization in Davos and at the first meeting in Washington is very important. It is a clear indicator that Kosovo is building relations with the Trump 2 Administration," said Joseph.
He added that this is particularly significant given recent developments in relations between the two countries.
"This is special because last September, the United States of America suspended the strategic dialogue with Kosovo and what happened is the opposite of that. It is clear that President Osmani is representing Kosovo in a different form of strategic dialogue and this is important," Joseph told Klan Kosova.
