Revealed by Jose Mourinho, the three top European clubs after Fenerbahce talent

Jose Mourinho has discovered a star player at Fenerbahce and he is center back Yusuf Akcicek, giving him space to play with the first team.

Bayern Munich could be looking for defensive reinforcements in the summer of 2025 - and they are said to have set their sights on Yusuf Akcicek.

The 19-year-old centre-back from Fenerbahçe is one of the rising stars of Turkish football and is said to have caught the eye of several big European clubs.

According to Weltfussball, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Ajax, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are also competing for the Turkish U19 national team alongside the Bavarians.

Manchester United, in particular, are believed to be deeply involved in the race.

Financially, a transfer seems feasible for Bayern: Fenerbahce are asking around 20 million euros for the central defender, who is under contract until 2028.

The 19-year-old has played 14 games this season, scoring two goals and assisting another.

Coach Jose Mourinho appreciates Akcicek's potential, but warned him to stay grounded.

"He is very talented, but we have to keep him grounded," Mourinho said when asked about the interest from top clubs in him. /Telegraph/
