Jack Wilshere has agreed to take charge of Luton Town, embarking on his first adventure as a first-team manager.

The former Arsenal midfielder and coach of the London club's U18 team is expected to be officially presented today, after finalizing his agreement with the League One club.

Luton Town have decided to sack manager Matt Bloomfield after a difficult start to the season, with the team currently in 11th place in the table. The club's board is hoping that Wilshere's arrival will bring new energy and a positive change to the team's performance.

For the 33-year-old, this is his first challenge as a senior manager. He previously had a spell as caretaker manager at Norwich City and successfully managed Arsenal's Under-18s, where he won praise for his work with young talent.

Wilshere, known for his technical style and vision in midfield during his playing career in the Premier League and the England national team, is expected to bring his modern football philosophy and focus on developing young players to the new project with Luton Town. /Telegraph/
