J. Alexander revealed that he went through a series of health problems after participating in the show "America's Next Top Model."

He participated in this show in 2012, and after working in fashion, suffered a stroke in December 2022.

"For 15 years I wondered how to maintain the status of an icon. The answer is simple, I just have to be authentic, but then everything changed. When I had a stroke, I didn't know where I was. I spent five weeks in a coma," he said.

Alexander claims he was comforted when Jay Manuel and Nigel Barker visited him while he was in the hospital.

"I couldn't walk, I couldn't talk. It was emotional. I cried. When they visited me, I remembered how we played the play together and I cried because I missed them so much," he said.

Alexander stated that he was happy about the progress in his recovery and revealed that Tyra Banks had not visited him after the stroke.

"I miss the runways. I'm the person who taught models to walk. I'm determined to walk again and I'm sure you'll see me again. There's still hope for me. Tyra Banks hasn't visited me yet, but she sent me a message that she'll come one day," he said. /Telegraph/
