Ivan Rakitic shocks with statement about Lamine Yamal – agrees with what Pique said about the talented Spaniard
Ivan Rakitic is a Hajduk player, but given his phenomenal career at Barcelona and Sevilla, he is a frequent guest in the Spanish media. So he gave an interview to Radio Marca.
He played for Barcelona from 2014 to 2020. He won four championships and cups, and one Champions League.
He played 310 games for Barcelona, scoring 35 goals and providing 42 assists.
Rakitic was also asked about Lamine Yamal and the form he is going through at the Catalan team, while he was reminded of a statement made by Gerard Pique who had said that Lamine would not have a starting place at Barcelona of their time.
"I agree (with Pique). Lamine is incredible, but Barcelona's attack was the strongest in history - Messi, Neymar and Suarez," the Croatian declared.
"But Lamine is brilliant and can play anywhere in attack. I like his confidence and the fact that you can see that he likes to play," Rakitic added. /Telegraph/
