VALENTINE: Errors in Geography Book Corrected

The WLEN school announced through a status on social media that the errors identified in the Geography Book for the seventh grade taught in Albanian have been corrected.
As stated in the announcement, this improvement occurred thanks to the commitment and insistence of WLEN and the quick reaction of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), Lulzim Aliu, who, reacting publicly, emphasized that the issue of textbooks will have an immediate solution.
"With the immediate verification and prompt correction of errors, VLEN shows that institutional responsibility is our standard. It is no longer like in the past when there was no solution for school materials. We have seen this during the DUI era. Such corrections coincide with scientific standards and the determination of political responsibility for those who have allowed such distortions for years. New generations deserve accurate and dignified textbooks and not the distorted narratives that DUI has tolerated over the years. VLEN believes that our children deserve accurate, professional and updated books according to contemporary standards so that the necessary corrections can be made without delay. VLEN is committed to good governance, better quality in education, and better conditions for our students," the announcement states.
We recall that a few days ago, several photographs from the Geography textbook were made public, where the state of Kosovo was referred to as "Kosovo and Metohija", which also brought about the reaction of Albanian opposition parties. /Telegrafi/
