Fluminense defender Thiago Silva has spoken about the tense relationship between Santos' Neymar and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe during their time at Paris Saint-Germain.
Silva has stated that he was completely surprised to see a healthy friendship deteriorating and has now revealed the situation.
"At Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappe and Neymar got along well at first, but their relationship deteriorated. Why? It was a beautiful story. I remember the Champions League match against Kylian Mbappe's Monaco in Morocco. At the end of the match, Mbappe wanted to talk to me. He said: 'Even if Neymar signs, I want to come and be part of this team. If you can talk to the president...'," Silva initially revealed.
"They both arrived that summer and their relationship was incredible. They were very close, among the ones who had the most fun every day."
"I didn't understand why they broke up. I wasn't at PSG anymore. I don't know which of the two caused the breakup, but it made me sad. They are two great guys and it's disappointing that it ended like this," concluded the former PSG captain. /Telegraph/
