"It's a shame, a scandal", Barcelona president 'explodes' after draw against Getafe

Barcelona were held to a draw on Saturday night against Getafe, failing to maintain the lead they had gained through Jules Kounde.

However, this match was accompanied by several controversial refereeing decisions, over which there was a great debate after the end of the challenge.

As we were approaching the end of the match, Kounde went down inside the area after a duel with Chrisantus Uche, but it wasn't enough for the referee to award a penalty.

In this case, VAR did not intervene at all and this seems to have angered Barcelona president Joan Laporta immensely.

Laporta was in court on Monday to testify in a 4.7 million euro fraud case, where he faces accusations of defrauding investors.

"The way Getafe were judged was a disgrace. They didn't award a penalty to Kounde, that's a scandal. A scandal. You need to repeat this more often," he said.

This is not the first and likely not the last time that Laporta has pointed the finger at the referee when things are not going well for Barcelona.

Last season he accused Real Madrid of being the one that has benefited the most from their decisions in the history of these two clubs./Telegraph/
