The Mayor of Vrapçisht Municipality, Isen Shabani, will run as an independent in the local elections expected to be held in October this year.
The information was confirmed by Shabani himself for Globi television - Gostivar.
"Yes, your information is correct, I will run again in the local elections and I will be an independent candidate. I expect the support of every resident of the Municipality of Vrapaçisht, regardless of ethnic or political affiliation," said Shabani.
Asked if this action would separate him from Ziadin Sela, who is in coalition with the European Front led by DUI, and join Arben Taravari, Shabani said that for now he does not want to say anything more.
"Now, with my team in the municipality, we are focused on the main obligations that we have as an obligation in the last year of the mandate. Less politics, more work until the elections," emphasized Isen Shabani, mayor of the Municipality of Vrapçisht.
Otherwise, Isen Shabani is expected to seek a third term as mayor of Vrapçisht in October.
He first won in the 2017 elections, and in 2021 he won his second term.
