Families of Israeli hostages plead with Trump for help

The families of the remaining Israeli hostages have just held a press conference in Tel Aviv.

They pleaded with Benjamin Netanyahu to "bring the hostages home" claiming that those still in Gaza "wouldn't survive much longer."

Speaking directly to Netanyahu, they said they would not allow the government to "sink" the second phase of the ceasefire agreement - which is expected to include the release of all remaining hostages and a full withdrawal of Israeli troops.

It is learned that the families continued to ask US President Donald Trump to put pressure on "all parties involved in the region" to ensure that all remaining hostages are released before anything else, writes sky news, the Telegraph reports.

"They can't wait for big political plans to come to fruition, they simply won't survive," the families said.

"No one is left behind, after this we can and will deal with everything else," they added.

Otherwise, negotiations on the crucial second phase of the ceasefire agreement have already stalled after Israel said it would not agree to a full withdrawal until Hamas's military and political capabilities are eliminated.

Meanwhile, Hamas said it refuses to hand over the last Israeli hostages until Israel ends the war and withdraws all its troops.

Trump had given Hamas a warning if the remaining Israeli hostages were not released by today.

The deadline has expired today, but there is still no possible development. /Telegraph/
