Islam: Serbian List Propaganda Doesn't Even Spare Children

 Security expert Avni Islami has reacted after a protest by several students and their parents due to the closure of parallel institutions in the north of the country.

Islam has said that the use of children in political protests is unacceptable and condemnable.

"Parallel structures and the Serbian List are inciting the citizens of North Mitrovica to protest against the legitimate decisions of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, instrumentalizing minors for propaganda purposes," Islami wrote, reports Telegrafi.

He further said that "this is a form of pure exploitation of children and an attempt to manipulate public opinion."

"Respecting the rule of law cannot be treated as injustice — and child abuse cannot be presented as activism," he wrote.

Following the closure of parallel Serbian institutions in northern Kosovo municipalities, a protest organized in northern Mitrovica has raised new concerns – this time due to the involvement of children in activities with political content.

In the protest held today, primary and secondary school students were seen holding banners and making statements that implied criticism of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. /Telegraph/
