Deputy Minister of Interior, Astrit Iseni, said on the show "Debat në Shenja" that he congratulates the "Safe City" project.
He said that they initially planned for the testing period to be one month, but in all likelihood this testing period will last an additional month.
"And, we plan to begin implementation sometime on February 1, 2026. The ambitions of the Ministry of Interior are for this Safe City system to extend to the entire territory of the Republic of Macedonia, and we also think that this system should extend to every street, every alley so that every citizen can feel this security," Iseni declared.
He said that the goal is not only to install cameras but also to process what is recorded, every criminal offense that is recorded.
