Investigations into the Kocani tragedy continue, over 20 suspects, five patients in critical condition

Financial support from donations collected from today through the Red Cross will be paid to the families of the victims and injured from the fire in Kocani, in the amount of 150.000 denars. Through the Red Cross, 22 denars have been collected by March 51.822.579, which will announce today the activities undertaken and the method of payment, reports Telegraph Macedonia.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, out of about 200 injured in the tragedy a week ago, five out of 115 people receiving treatment abroad are in critical condition. In Macedonian hospitals, all 55 patients are in stable and good condition, while nine are scheduled to be discharged from the hospital early this week, after all toxicological and psychological tests have been completed. Information is expected from the further progress of the investigations, in which 34 people are currently suspected, as well as from the announced inspections of public facilities throughout the country, for which municipalities will be coordinated through the Association of Local Self-Government Units.
Of the 17 people injured in the fire in Kocani who are being treated at the Emergency Center of the University Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade, two are on mechanical ventilation, while two have undergone surgery. As announced by Milan Stojičić, director of the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University College of Medicine, the patients are in good condition and have no postoperative problems, reports "MKD".
Yesterday, peaceful gatherings of citizens continued to honor the victims of the tragedy. A 60-minute silent march was held in Koçan, as a symbolic tribute to all 60 people who lost their lives as a result of the fire at the “Pulse” discotheque that occurred last week. Without banners and in silence, the column of citizens passed through the streets of the central area of the city and arrived in front of the Koçan Municipality building.
Meanwhile, the announced inspections by institutions continued in all public facilities throughout the country, to check documentation, fulfillment of obligations under licenses and permits, technical operating conditions and safety standards, and some departments also shared specific data.
Violations of the government's decision on the days of mourning, which ended yesterday, have been found, two facilities in the municipality of Qendër have been closed, while over 20 people have been detained in Skopje, Bitola and Ohrid.
So far, 27 individuals and three legal entities have been involved in the investigation of the fire, while an investigative procedure is also underway against seven police officers from the Stip Police Station and the Kocani Police Station.
Among the 24 people who have been ordered to be detained are the three mayors of the Municipality of Kocani, namely the outgoing mayor Ljupco Papazov, as well as former mayors Ratko Dimitrovski and Nikolco Iliev, as well as former Minister of Economy Kreshnik Beksteshi. /Telegrafi/
