Investigations continue into the case where the baby was found lifeless in a garbage dump in Pristina

On Monday, a newborn baby with no signs of life was found inside a bag in a garbage dump in Matiqan, Pristina.

Investigations into the case are continuing, and it is still unknown who is behind this serious incident, reports the Telegraph.

The 24-hour Police report states that the baby's body has been sent for an autopsy.

"The Kosovar male witness reported that he had found an abandoned baby. The relevant police units and the emergency team arrived at the scene, where the doctor confirmed the death. By decision of the prosecutor, the body was sent to the IML for an autopsy. The case is being investigated by the relevant units," the Police statement said.
